    An informative session on the county’s famed 93,000-acre agricultural reserve area that encompasses the northern portion of the county.  Session answers questions including:
    • What is the Agricultural Reserve?
    • When was it established?
    • How does it benefit county residents? 
    • What can county residents do to help make sure the Agricultural Reserve remains in tact for generations to come?

    A lively discussion on the current and future supply and demand of affordable and workforce housing units in Montgomery County.  Session answers questions including:
    • What is "affordable housing" and what is the County currently doing to provide it? 
    • How affordable is Montgomery County's housing, and what drives the prices of home values in the County?
    • What's the future of affordable housing in the County?

  • Annual Growth Policy 101
    An historical and informational session on what the County does to ensure that new development is approved only in places that have adequate schools, enough police officers, hassle-free roads, and other public facilities.  Session answers questions including:
    • What is the pace of development in Montgomery County compared to other counties in our region?
    • What kinds of factors affect the County’s rate of growth? 
    • What does it mean to have "adequate" roads, schools, and other public facilities?
    • What is the responsibility of new development in paying for the public facilities needed to support growth?

    An overview on the process and importance of long-term land-use planning for Montgomery County and the master planning process used to determine the appropriate balance of housing office space, transportation modes and public facilities such as schools and fire stations.
