On Thursday, April 24, the Montgomery County Planning Board is inviting you to comment on the proposed renovations to the existing hard surface trail and a proposed new one-mile trail segment in Black Hill Regional Park in Boyds, Maryland. Proposed FY 05-10 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Joint Forum

Montgomery County Planning Board and the Montgomery County Recreation Advisory Boards invite public comments at a

joint public forum on park and recreation projects to be included in the FY 05-10 CIP. This forum provides the public an

opportunity to comment before the Department of Park and Planning and the Department of Recreation begin preparing

their Capital Improvements Programs. These two programs are completely separate, but they are of concern to similar

interest groups since many recreation activities occur on park property.

 

Sign up by calling (301) 650-2890 prior to noon, April 24.  Sign ups will be accepted at the door if space is available

(limit 50 speakers). Written testimony is encouraged.  Please submit written testimony prior to May 8, 2003, to Derick P.

Rock Creek Trail Bridge

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s (M-NCPPC) Montgomery County Department of Park and Planning and the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation invite trail users, park neighbors and others to participate in a public information meeting, Thursday, May 1, 7:30 p.m., Wheaton Woods Elementary School, 4510 Faroe Place, Rockville, on the proposed connection of the Rock Creek Trail with a pedestrian bridge over Veirs Mill Road, in Aspen Hill.  Staff members will present preliminary alternatives for the alignment of the trail and bridge near Aspen Hill Road and solicit ideas and comments from participants.
