Create a Development Scenario for Twinbrook’s Future

            The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s Montgomery County Department of Park and Planning is inviting residents, businesses and organizations to participate in the planning of the Twinbrook Community.  Come share your ideas with fellow community members and staff on building a transit-oriented community near the Twinbrook Metro Station.  In addition to sharing your ideas, learn about the planning process for the Twinbrook Sector Plan, a part of the 1992 North Bethesda Master Plan.

FY06 Operating Budget and Public/Private Partnerships

The Montgomery County Planning Board invites you to comment on the operating budget and potential public/private partnerships at a Public Forum, Thursday, October 21, 7:30 p.m., at 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.

Operating budgets include park design and maintenance, master planning, environmental and transportation planning, subdivision review, administration and other operating expenses.  (CIP budgets include engineering and construction of new facilities; renovations of existing playgrounds, recreation buildings, offices, parking lots, parkways, trails, and other facilities.)

            In addition to testimony on the operating budget, you’re invited to comment on current and possible future public/private partnerships.  As part of the process, the Board has identified a number of new potential partnerships and is seeking additional partnership ideas from residents, organizations and businesses.
