  1. Unless otherwise noted, Planning Board meetings are held on Thursdays and begin at 9 a.m. The agenda is subject to change and certain items may be postponed or added.
  2. The Planning Board encourages public testimony unless otherwise noted on the agenda. Refer to the Planning Board Rules of Procedure for more information on public testimony. Any individual or organization not scheduled for public testimony may submit a written statement for consideration by the Planning Board. Written comments should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the Planning Board hearing date with reference to the matter to ensure that all comments will be included in the record before the Commission. Written comments received on the day of the hearing via email, fax, or postal mail may not be considered by the Planning Board or included in the record unless the Chairman specifically leaves the record open.   6. The Planning Board makes the final decision on any agenda items with an (*). On such matters, Maryland law and the Planning Board’s Rules of Procedure prohibit any member of the public from directly contacting or communicating with Board members outside the public hearing setting.   Dr. Andrew Miller, Associate Professor, Department of Geography & Environmental Systems, UMBC on LiDAR
  Scientists are using LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), which provides high-quality topographic data, to visualize landscape patterns and analyze features that have never before been captured. Dr. Andrew Miller, associate professor in the Department of Geography & Environmental Systems at University of Maryland-Baltimore County and the founder of the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Education (CUERE), will discuss how LiDAR can be used as a tool in monitoring and assessing conditions in urban streams.

has received a PRELIMINARY WATER QUALITY PLAN

for Shirkey's Addition to Fairland Acres

The Department of Permitting Services Division of Water Resources Management has received a PRELIMINARY WATER QUALITY PLAN for Shirkey’s Addition to Fairland Acres. The site is located at 2800 Old Briggs Chaney Road, which is within the Upper Paint Branch Watershed.  The Upper Paint Branch Watershed is a designated Special Protection Area.  The proposed development will consist of the creation of one new single family lot, 31,750 square feet in area.  The remainder of the property, including existing improvements, will remain unchanged.  The subject property consists of a total of 7.12 acres.

 

If you wish to request a public information meeting, a written request must be submitted to this office within 15 days of this notice, posted November 2, 2009. The Water Quality Plans are available for review at the Department of Permitting Services office during working hours (8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday).
